Students must have a stanine 5 or better in both reading and mathematics on the Grade 7 Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS) or the equivalent on a standardized examination, if not from Chicago Public Schools. If test data is not available, proof of a 3.0 grade point average is required. Students must also fill out an application and take an admission examination. Information will produce a ranked list from which students will be selected for admission.
