Former Chief Justice of the Illinois Supreme Court Thomas R. Fitzgerald
has been a staunch supporter of CRFC for many years. In addition to serving on the
Board of Directors, Justice Fitzgerald hosted CRFC's annual Supreme Court Update, a professional
development institute for high school educators, focused on promoting a greater understanding of the Supreme Court
of the United States and its roles in American government. His insights, experiences, and integrity were a tremendous
resource to the teachers, and helped them feel much more prepared to discuss the judiciary in their classrooms.
Justice Fitzgerald is one of the great spirits of the law that guide our city, our state, and indeed our nation. |

Kraft Foods is committed to making a delicious difference in communities around the world. To further that commitment, the company's legal department performs pro bono work aimed at fostering diversity in the profession. As part of that program, attorneys from Kraft Foods participate in the Edward J. Lewis II Lawyers in the Classroom program, most recently this year in partnership with lawyers from Schiff Hardin LLP at Pulaski School on Chicago's near northwest side. Kraft and Schiff Hardin attorneys taught six classes of 7th and 8th graders, helping students gain a deeper understanding of their rights and responsibilities under the law—and to have a little fun doing it. |
